The last rites of senior actor Rajiv Kapoor have begun, pictures of the late actor’s mortal remains being carried from his Chembur residence have hit the internet. These pictures have his nephews Ranbir Kapoor and Armaan Jain carrying their uncle’s mortal remains on their shoulders along with other family members. Seen with them was late actor’s cousin Karan Kapoor’s son Zach Kapoor. Also making in time for the last rites is Ranbir Kapoor’s GF actress Alia Bhatt. Eldest brother Randhir Kapoor was seen leading the rites.
The actress was back in town after her vacation in the Maldives and then she headed for the funeral, she was seen in white salwar suit with a mask on. She was most probably interacting with Ranbir’s cousin Karisma Kapoor. Rajiv Kapoor was aged 58 when he breathed his last today afternoon. The actor suffered a cardiac arrest, however, he was rushed to the hospital doctor but was declared dead on arrival. News of his death left the film fraternity low and paying their condolences to the family.
Rajiv Kapoor was about to make his comeback in the acting world with Ashutosh Gowariker’s Toolsidas Junior, the co-producer and filmmaker’s wife Sunita Gowariker revealed the actor was supposed to give interviews from February 14, 2021, for his comeback film. She said, “In fact, he was supposed to talk to the media at length in the next few days. We had fixed up his interviews for Sunday, February 14. We had also discussed it with him and he also was looking forward to a nice round of questions. He had completed the film, dubbed for it and even watched it.”
