Rajkumar Hirani All Set To Begin The Prep Work On His Next Project With Shah Rukh Khan; Filmmaker Locks The Script

Bollywood’s King Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s 2018 released Zero, is all set to make his comeback with Siddharth Anand’s upcoming actioner 'Pathan'. Besides this, SRK has many interesting projects in his lineup. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor will also be seen playing the role of a Punjabi character in Rajkumar Hirani’s next directorial venture, which is now all set to go on floors. The director has been working on his upcoming film for a while now.
Now, we have got an update on the project. As per Bollywood Hungama report, Hirani has finally locked the script of his next directorial and he is all set to begin the prep work. A trade source was quoted as saying, “Hirani and his writing partner, Kanikka Dhillon have finally locked the full-fledged screenplay of their film. They are happy with the outcome and are now all geared up to start the prep work of the film.”
The report also says that the ace filmmaker has collaborated with casting director Mukesh Chhabra to get a formidable ensemble cast on board for the project, which is said to be set against the backdrop of immigration.
The untitled project will be shot in Canada. Reportedly, Taapsee Pannu has been roped in to play the female lead. The movie is likely to start sometime next year.
SRK and Taapsee had earlier worked together in ‘Badla’. The thriller was produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
