Rajkummar Rao Turns Down An Offer To Star In Dostana 2? Find Out The Truth
Rajkummar Rao confirms turning down an offer to star in Karan Johar’s next Dostana 2.
Versatile actor Rajkummar Rao has proved time and again that his edgy and unconventional choices have always worked in his favour. However, this time ditching one such project which could have allowed to prove his mettle once again is Karan Johar’s next Dostana 2.
In several reports out in the media, it was read that Judgementall Hai Kya actor was set to portray a gay character in Dostana 2.
During a media interaction with a leading publication, the actor has confirmed turning down the offer to star in it. He said, “About Dostana 2, I met Karan [Johar]. Of course, I have immense respect for him but this one did not work out but I am sure very soon you will hear something very exciting from both of us."
Though, the project didn’t work out due to some reasons best known to the actor, he concluded saying that there is something exciting in the pipeline. Hmm is KJo eyeing to cast Rao in his larger-than-life flick? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, makers of Dostana 2 have finalized Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan as they are in search of a fresh face to complete this amazing trio for silver screen.
Giving a nod to this project would have marked second collaboration between the Dhadak actress and Rajkummar. The duo has already started shooting for Roohi Afza directed by Hardik Mehta.
Rao’s upcoming movie Judgementall Hai Kya which is scheduled to release on July 26, 2019, has already sparked tons of controversies. All thanks to his co-star Kangana Ranaut. But the actor has remained away from all this, maintaining his image.
