Controversy queen Rakhi Sawant has been rooting for Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and has showered heaps of praise on the actress for her brilliant performance. In fact, Gangubai’s fever is gripping everyone, be it celebrities or fans on social media and recently Rakhi turned Gangubai and she just nailed it with her killer expressions. The Bigg Boss contestant showed her amazing dance moves on the song 'Dholida' and also recreated Alia's famous dialogue from the film in her own style.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Rakhi shared a video wherein she is seen dancing on the song Dholida along with her two other choreographer friends. Sharing the clip, the actress wrote, “Dholida in my style for my favourite @aliaabhatt #gangubaikathiawadi.” Sawant looked drop-dead gorgeous in a yellow and white coloured sari that she teamed up with multi-coloured blouse. Her makeup and hairdo game looked on point.
In another video, she is seen mouthing a popular dialogue from the movie. Alongside it, she wrote, “@aliaabhatt this is specially for you #gangubai.” Notably, her fans and netizens took to the comments section to shower praise on Rakhi and said she did a fantastic job. Many users even pointed out that she did better than Alia. While one commented, “Alia Se Acha Aap Ne Kiya Hai, another wrote, “Rakhi is on fire.”
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi saw Alia in the titular role and the movie is faring well at the box office. The film, which opened at Rs. 10.50 crores, has entered Rs. 100 crore club in just 12 days.
