Raksha Bandhan: Bhumi Pednekar Reunites With Akshay Kumar After Toilet Ek Prem Katha
Post Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have reunited once again for Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan. Both of them shared a happy picture to announce the new development
Actor Bhumi Pednekar has now joined the cast of Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan, also starring Akshay Kumar. This is the second time they are going to share the screen space after they starred together in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The two have also worked together as producer and actor for Durgamati which was a remake of a Telugu film. Nonetheless, they both took to their respective social media handles and announced this new development by sharing a happy picture, featuring Akshay, Bhumi and Aanand.
Akshay shared the picture on his Twitter handle and wrote, "When you are happy, it shows And indeed we are...to have @bhumipednekar onboard #RakshaBandhan @aanandlrai #HimanshuSharma @cypplOfficial @ZeeStudios_ #CapeOfGoodFilms #AlkaHiranandani @KanikaDhillon #SirfBehneDetiHai100PercentReturn” while Bhumi uploaded in on her Insta feed, calling it a ‘special film’ and ‘special reunion’. She is gratitude to be a part of this ‘heart-touching story’.
She wrote, “A very special film & a very special reunion. Am supremely excited to be collaborating again with two of my favourite creative powerhouses & humans. Am full of gratitude to be a part of this special, heart-touching story #RakshaBandhan @akshaykumar @aanandlrai #himanshusharma @kanika.d #alkahiranandani #capeofgoodhopefilms @cypplofficial #SirfBehneDetiHai100PercentReturn”. On the festival of Raksha Bandhan last year, Akshay Kumar announced the film and shared the first look poster of the film featuring him along with four girls. In his Twitter post, he dedicated the film to his sister Alka Bhatia.
He wrote, “A story that touches your heart so deeply & so instantly, it’s the quickest I’ve signed a film in my career. Dedicating this film,#RakshaBandhan to my sister, Alka & to the most special bond in the world...that of a brother and sister.
