Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar has resumed work again. Apart from starting initiatives to help the needy, Bhumi is also dedicating her time to work and her line-up of films. The actress has been paired opposite her Toilet Ek Prem Katha co-star Akshay Kumar once again. The film is titled Raksha Bandhan and will be directed by Aanand L Rai, who bankrolled her film Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan. Now, the Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress opens up about reuniting with Akshay and the filmmaker.
According to an IANS report, Bhumi Pednekar said that the film Raksha Bandhan is her ‘reunion’ with the ‘most special people’ in her life. She explained that it is because director Aanand L Rai is a guru for her, who trusted her abilities as an actor. Bhumi said, “Raksha Bandhan is my reunion with the most special people in my life! Anand Rai sir is a guru for me, who trusted my abilities as an actor when I had just started out and I will forever be grateful to him for the opportunity he gave me to shine through in 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'.” She even said that she is glad to have gotten an opportunity to work with him again. "So, I'm delighted that I have got an opportunity to work with him again,” Pednekar added.
Talking about Akshay Kumar, the actress credited him for giving her the first blockbuster. She said that Khiladi Kumar has instilled a sense of belief in her that has propelled her to excel in the industry. "Akshay Kumar sir gave me a film that became my first blockbuster. He believed in me in 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' and our pairing won hearts. He has instilled a sense of belief in me that has propelled me to excel in this industry," she said.
Bhumi Pednekar even opened up about the film and mentioned that the script is one that will touch everyone’s hearts.
