In a recent development, Rakul Preet Singh has approached Delhi High court against the media trials that began ever since Rhea Chakraborty named her in the drug case.

During the interrogation with the Narcotics Control Bureau in a drug probe related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Rhea Chakraborty named her good friend actress Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and fashion designer Simone Khambatta. The actress had allegedly confessed that she along with Sara and Sushant used to do drugs together. Now in a recent development, Rakul Preet has approached Delhi High court against the media trials that began ever since Rhea named her in the drug case. As per reports, Rakul Preet has filed a petition before the Delhi High Court requesting them to stop media trials that are going on against her.

As per India Today, in her petition, the actress has requested Delhi HC to instruct National Broadcaster Association and the Information and Broadcast Ministry to stop all the negative news against her. She also mentioned that she got to know about her name in the drug case while she was on a shoot. Rakul’s laywer stated that the media is ‘harassing’ her. Now, the court however asked Singh’s lawyer why they haven’t filed a complaint against the channel. “At least file a complaint against anyone of such channels," the Court said.

Replying to which Singh’s Lawyer said, that not one but multiple channels are running a campaign against her on social media. Following which the Court then said, “Even if you file a complaint against one channel, we'll impose a time frame on the authority to decide the complaint."
