Ram Jethmalani Passes Away: PM Narendra Modi, Farhan Akhtar, Nimrat Kaur And Others Mourn The Loss Of Eminent Lawyer
Ram Jethmalani, an outstanding lawyer, and former Union Law Minister passed away early morning on Sunday. The eminent lawyer breathed his last at 7.45 am at his official residence in New Delhi after being on round the clock medical help for the last two weeks. Ram Jethmalani was not keeping well for a few months due to his illness and passed away just a few days before his 96th birthday on September 14. His last rites will be performed today evening at the Lodhi road crematorium. Several celebrities took to social media and grieved his demise and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to mourn the loss and wrote, “RIP #RamJethmalani ji. The time spent in conversation with you has always remained etched fondly in my memory. Condolences to the family.”  Nimrat Kaur wrote, “Growing up, no matter where you were in India, when one learnt of law as a profession, the one name you learnt of that personified it, was Ram Jethmalani. A great man leaves behind a legacy urban folklore is made of. Salute him for his indelible work. #RIPRamJethmalani.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “In the passing away of Shri Ram Jethmalani Ji, India has lost an exceptional lawyer and iconic public figure who made rich contributions both in the Court and Parliament. He was witty, courageous and never shied away from boldly expressing himself on any subject.”








Ram Jethmalani is survived by his son, lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani and his daughter, who is based in the USA. May his soul rest in peace.
