Randeep Hooda Says Battle Of Saragarhi Is More Authentic Than Akshay Kumar’s Kesari
Randeep Hooda had proved his mettle by effortlessly portraying some poles apart roles in his career. However, the actor was left deeply saddened with one of the films being shelved due to Akshay Kumar. Here we are talking about Randeep’s Battle Of Saragarhi and Akshay’s 2019 flick Kesari. Because both the films were based on the historic win of 21 Sikh soldiers over 10,000 Afghan invaders. The Love Aaj Kal actor in conversation with a leading tabloid revealed about being upset and not watching Akki’s Kesari till date.

He was quoted saying by Mumbai Mirror, “It hurt that the audience could not see what would probably have been a more authentic version with more real emotions of the story. That apart, you learn to move on. Through the journey, I learnt the principles of Sikhism and I’m a better person now” When asked if he happens to watch Akki’s Kesari, he replied, “Nope, it didn’t excite me much.”

The actor in his conversation had also mentioned preparing for this role by learning martial arts to do full justice to his onscreen character of Havildar Ishar Singh. Randeep’s Battle of Saragarhi was helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

“It’s just an extra effort I put in for my character and there’s a sense of responsibility and respect when you are playing one who was for real. There’s also a fear that people will find out that I can’t act,” he added further. ALSO READ: Akshay Kumar Pays Tribute To 21 Martyrs Who Fought The Battle Of Saragarhi With Utmost Bravery
