On Saturday, Randhir Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. The father and daughter duo had a lot of fun and shared interesting things about their family, shooting days and more. At one point, the veteran actor revealed that he was once laughed at by a beggar because he drove a small car. He said that his ego was so hurt that he ended up buying a new car almost immediately.
Recalling the incident, he told Kapil Sharma that even though he was the son of Raj Kapoor, he was given a normal upbringing and also travelled in buses and trains. He added that when he became an actor, he bought a small car of his car.
One day, a beggar laughed at the size of Randhir's car and told him, "Tum aisi gaadi mein jaata hai, picture mein toh lambi gaadi hota hai." Hurt by the beggar's words, Randhir Kapoor ended up buying the 'latest' model of a car, after taking some money from his wife Babita Kapoor and some advance from his producers. He then went to Raj Kapoor to show him the car. ALSO READ:The Kapil Sharma Show: Randhir Kapoor Reminisces The Time His Father, The Late Raj Kapoor Inspirited Him To Direct His First Film
