Ranveer & Alia in Zoya's next, No Ranbir yet

After Dil Dhadakne Do, Zoya Akhtar is reuniting with her hot favorite Ranveer Singh for an intense romantic-drama.
Zoya has got Ranveer's consent and is currently awaiting clearance on Alia Bhatt's dates.

This will be the first time that Ranveer and Alia will pair-up together, although they do endorse a travel-portal together. While speculation was rife that Ranbir Kapoor might team up with Zoya, the director has finalised Ranveer for now.
So what happens to Ranbir Kapoor who was also in contention for one of the roles? Is it not a 2-hero flick? The inside information is that Ranbir hasn't yet signed the film.
One can't forget that Ranbir and Ranveer have a common link--- Deepika Padukone. Is Zoya chasing a dream? Perhaps.
As for Alia, she had met Zoya early last year for a possible collaboration--- but the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara maker didn't have a script ready at that point. "Zoya and Alia get along really well. It's a matter of accommodating the film, which Alia should be able to manage given her admiration for Zoya as a filmmaker which she has often been vocal about," a friend of the actress revealed.
