Ranveer Singh And Not Ranbir Kapoor Has Been Approached For Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra-EXCLUSIVE
Contrary to reports Ranbir Kapoor was never approached for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra. Ranveer Singh is seriously being considered for the role.
There are reports that Ranbir Kapoor has said no Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s proposed musical love story Baiju Bawra. Sources close to Bhansali are amused and infuriated by these reports. “Ranbir has never been offered Baiju Bawra. So where is the question of saying no to it? The only time Ranbir turned down a role in a Bhansali film was when he was offered Guzaarish. Bhansali offered him the role that was eventually played by Aditya Roy Kapoor. Ranbir had a valid reason for turn
ing it down. He told Bhansali, ‘How can I play a supporting role to Hrithik Roshan? It will typecast me as a supporting actor.’ And that was that.”
About the casting of Baiju Bawra, the source close to Bhansali productions says, “It is Ranveer Singh who is being seriously considered for the part. Nothing has been finalized yet. Right now Bhansali’s focus is on the casting of Heera Mandi.” Ranveer Singh has worked with Bhansali in three movies earlier. Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
Apart from that, once the reports of Ranbir walking out of Baiju Bawra surfaced there was also a buzz about Kartik Aaryan replacing Kapoor. Though that too didn't turn out to be true.
