Ranveer Singh showed his rapping skills on the sets of Indian Idol 13
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is known for his out-going personality and unique dressing sense. Wherever he goes, the actor stuns the audience with enthusiastic self. Recently he, along with team of his upcoming movie Cirkus, graced the sets of Indian Idol 13 to promote their film. While everyone was mesmerized by the performances of the contestants, Ranveer became the star of the show as showed off his rapping skills.
Yes, you read that right! The Gully Boy actor showcased his ‘hidden talent’, like director Rohit Shetty called it, by rapping Govinda’s iconic song 'Meri Baatein Sunkar Hasna Nahi', from the movie Gambler (1995). Before starting the rap however, Ranveer hailed the older actor for introducing rap in Bollywood. For the unversed, the original song was sung by Devang Patel and the movie also starred Shilpa Shetty in the lead role.

Recently, during a media interaction, Ranveer praised the filmmaker for giving him a chance to work with talented actors like Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever. He said, “For the past 15 years, the most loved comedy in Hindi cinema is Golmaal. I have been waiting for 15 years to be part of a film like this and it is a dream come true to work with genius talents like Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, and all our senior actors. Rohit sir always fulfills my dream, he was the first one to present me as a cop and now he made me do comedy. To make the audience laugh, we have made this film so that they forget all their worries.”
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Cirkus stars Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma in double roles. Apart from them actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Radhika Bangia, Tiku Talsania, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Brijendra Kala, Mukesh Tiwari, Siddhartha Jadhav, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Vrajesh Hirjee will be seen in the movie in pivotal roles. On the work front, last seen in YRF’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer will return to the big screen with Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, which will be released on Christmas. He also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Alia Bhatt in the pipeline, the movie will mark the directorial comeback of Karan Johar. The film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
