The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had been investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, as well as the alleged drug nexus in Bollywood. A few weeks ago, Deepika Padukone’s name surfaced in the drug probe after an alleged WhatsApp drug chat between her and her manager Karishma Prakash emerged. Soon after, the NCB sent a summon to Deepika, and she was called for questioning by the NCB. Ranveer Singh, who hadn’t been active on social media since then, has now made his first social media post after Deepika’s interrogation.
There had been reports that Ranveer Singh stood firmly behind his wife Deepika after her name surfaced in the alleged drug chat. Through it all, he maintained his silence on social media, however now, days after Deepika’s interrogation by the NCB, Ranveer has made his first social media post. Ranveer took to his Twitter and shared Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s post about fighting Coronavirus. PM Modi’s tweet read, “Let us #Unite2FightCorona! Let us always remember: Wear a mask. Wash hands. Follow social distancing. Practice ‘Do Gaj Ki Doori.’ Together, we will succeed. Together, we will win against COVID-19.”
Sharing this tweet of PM Modi’s, Ranveer also joined in and wrote, “Let us #Unite2FightCorona.” Take a look:
Meanwhile, apart from Deepika Padukone, actresses Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh were also summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning in the drug probe. Deepika had been in Goa, shooting for her upcoming film before she was summoned by the NCB. However, she returned to Mumbai from Goa after she was summoned.
