It's been a week since Ranveer Singh posted a few nude pictures and the actor continues to decorate the headlines. The actor instantly became a national topic and while the internet is filled with mixed reactions on social media, there has been major development around Ranveer Singh and his nude pictures. A complaint was filed against Ranveer before the Maharashtra State Commission for Women on Wednesday. 

Yes, you read that right! Bollywood’s cool dude seems to have landed himself in a hot soup.


As per the reports, complainant Ashish Rai, an advocate, pointed out that Ranveer’s pictures are against the “dignity of women and small children.” He demanded his nude photos be deleted from social media. Well, the complaint has also reached the Women’s Commission to take action under suo-moto cognizance. 

Before the complaint, on Tuesday, an FIR was also registered against the actor on a complaint filed at the Chembur Police Station. As per the report, the case was filed after receiving a complaint by an office-bearer of the NGO alleged that the actor hurt the sentiments of women with his nude pictures. 

The Mumbai Police filed the FIR under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code like 292 (sale of obscene books, etc), 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and provisions of the Information Technology Act. 

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ranveer was recently seen in Netflix’s interactive special ‘Ranveer vs Wild with Bear Grylls’ which received a positive response from netizens all over the globe.
