Ranveer Singh Reveals WHY He Truly Bonded With His Wifey Deepika Padukone; Says, ‘We Connected Over Rejections, Humiliations And Struggles’

Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh’s love story is known by all. The couple met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela. While their pairing is an unusual one, their personalities seemingly gel well. They are without a doubt one of the most adored couple on Bollywood. Even after being polar opposites, one thing that they have in common is that they started their journey in the industry without any connections.
During an interaction with Esquire Singapore, Ranveer revealed how they connected over their struggles, rejections and humiliations. He also opened up about how keeping a close-knit group of friends and family helps keep him grounded. He went on to share, “She’s also had to work her way up in the entertainment business. She’s that classic story of packing a suitcase and coming to the big, bad city. Talking Deepika’s family, he told the publication, “They’re like, as you said, a very simple middle-class to upper middle-class family, and they’re centred and grounded people.” ALSO READ: VIRAL! For the unversed, both actors fell in love with each other while working together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2012 movie Ram-Leela. The couple got married in 2018, six years after dating each other. Being together for more than a decade, they truly are the epitome of couple goals and have set the bar high for all the lovers out there.
On the work front, Ranveer will be seen in Rohit Shetty directorial Cirkus. The movie, which is all set to release on Christmas, will see him in a double role alongside Varun Sharma. On the other hand, Deepika will be next seen Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie Pathaan, which also stars John Abraham in lead role. She will be seen in Project K alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani.
