After collaborating with Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty for Simmba, reportedly Ranveer Singh has once again joined hands with the producer. Well yes, buzz is that, Karan Johar has pulled up his socks for a two-hero film to be directed by him and will kick-start in 2019. According to a report in Koimoi.com, Karan is set to direct a film which will have an ensemble cast- Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The story revolves around two brothers.
A source close to Karan told Koimoi.com, “Karan earlier wanted Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to play brothers but Ranbir turned it down later. He had said yes first but then he changed his mind. Karan doesn’t know if he changed his mind because it’s a negative role or because he doesn’t want to do a two-hero film with Ranveer.” The source further added, “Most heroes don’t want to do a two-hero film so he is having a problem casting that role. Karan wants somebody younger than Ranveer so he can’t even approach other big actors.”
Reportedly, Karan’s next directorial will be set in the backdrop of Mughal dynasty, which is going to be a two-hero and three-heroine film. This will be the first time Kareena and Ranveer will share the screen space, f they do, Kareena will not romance Ranveer. Instead, she will be playing his sister. Ranveer is said to be paired opposite Alia. However, Ranveer and Alia have already worked together in commercials and will be seen in Gully Boy. Kareena & Alia, too have shared the screen in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab.
Talking about energy king, Ranveer, it is being said that the actor is set to tie the knot with girlfriend and actress Deepika Padukone on November 11. Not many days ago, the couple had returned hand-in-hand to Bay after a mini-vacation in Florida.
Coming back to Karan’s next directorial, we await an official confirmation.
