Ranvir Shorey On The Possibility Of Working With His Ex-Wife Konkona Sen Sharma: ‘I Doubt That’
Bollywood actors Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma got officially divorced in August last year. The ex-couple have worked together in various films such as Aaja Nachle, Mixed Doubles and Traffic Signal. Ranvir also featured in the 2016 film A Death in the Gunj, which was Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial debut. Konkona and Ranvir have a nine-year-old son Haroon together, and in a recent interview, Ranvir Shorey opened up about how their child shouldn’t feel any sort of bitterness, even if it is there.

In an interview with Rediff, Ranvir Shorey was asked whether he would work with Konkona Sen Sharma again and whether there would be another professional collaboration with them. Replying to this, Ranvir ruled out the possibility of working with Konkona again, and said that Konkona made sure he was a part of A Death In The Gunj, but they were separating back then.

On working with Konkona again, Ranvir told Rediff, “I doubt that. With the first one (Konkona's directorial debut A Death In The Gunj), she made sure I was a part of it, but we were separating at the time. Even if the bitterness is there, it should not spill over to the child's life. That is more important for me. Whatever steps we take, they have to be right for Haroon.”

For the unversed, Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma got married in 2010 and welcomed their first child Haroon in 2011. They reportedly separated after five years of being married, in 2015.

Their divorce came through in August 2020, and ETimes had quoted Amruta Sathe Pathak, who was representing Konkona, saying, “Yes, Konkona and Ranvir are now divorced. It was done very amicably. It’s not that Ranvir and Konkona didn’t try to remain together, both even underwent detailed counselling - but it just didn’t sort out.”
