Rashmika Mandanna Deepfake: Creator Of The AI Viral Video Gets Arrested By The Delhi Police- Read Reports
Pan-Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna is currently being showered in love and admiration as her fans await her return as Srivalli in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. Amid chatter surrounding her engagement rumours with Vijay Deverakonda, an AI deepfake video had gone viral in November 2023. The video has left everyone shocked. Now months after the investigation, the main culprit behind the viral video has been arrested.

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, the Delhi police on Saturday claimed that the main culprit behind Rashmika’s deepfake video has been arrested. For the unversed, in the viral video, the Animal actress’ face was superimposed on a video of a British social media influencer named Zara Patel, where she is seen entering a lift in a skimpy outfit. The video had caused an outrage on social media with stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Deverakonda had extended their support to the actress. ALSO READ: WHAT! Taking to her official X handle, the Geetha Govindham actress wrote, “Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused. Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this.”

On the work front, last seen in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna is all set to reprise her role of Srivallu in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule. She also has Rahul Ravindran’s The Girlfriend, co-starring Dheekshith Shetty.
