Reema Lagoo’s Funeral: Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Kajol, Rishi Kapoor Pay Their Last Respects To The Veteran Actress

Reema Lagoo passed away this morning and the news shocked and saddened the film and TV fraternity. The Marathi actress was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital last night and died of cardiac arrest on Thursday morning.

The veteran star’s funeral is currently taking place at the Oshiwara crematorium, where stars including Aamir Khan, wife Kiran Rao, Rishi Kapoor, Kajol, Shreyas Talpade and a number of other senior actors have gathered.

Dangal actresses Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sonali Kulkarni and Raza Murad looked solemn as they walked in to Reema’s apartment complex.

Many veteran members of the Marathi film fraternity too turned up to pay their respects. Nina Kulkarni, Sanjay Narvekar, Viju Khote, Sulabha Arya were among those who gathered at the funeral.

The actors gathered at her home in Lokhandwala, from where they then moved to the crematorium.


The senior actress started her career in Hindi and Marathi films in the late 1970s and early 80s. She was part of a number of hit films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Saath-Saath Hain. Reema Lagoo also did notable work in television in popular shows like Tu Tu Main Main and Shriman Shrimati.
