In the recent past, Kareena Kapoor was seen as a ghost in Aamir Khan’s Talaash (2012) while Bipasha Basu played a woman possessed by her sister in Alone (2015). Among the more-iconic ghost roles is that of the late Saadhana in Woh Kaun Thi (1964). "However, Anushka's part is more of a fun ghost. It's quite a challenging role for her," says a source.
Philluari is directed by debutant Anshai Lal and features Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Diljit Dosanjh in leading roles.
