Earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed their baby girl. The couple became proud parents to a little girl via surrogacy and announced the happy news on social media. While there is much curiosity regarding the name of their newborn little girl, as per the latest report, Priyanka and Nick chose a beautiful Indian name for their daughter. Yes, you read that right!
According to TMZ, Priyanka and Nick have named their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. According to the reports, TMZ has found a birth certificate of the baby girl and the document that states Malti was born just after 8 pm on 15th January in San Diego, California. However, the couple has not officially revealed their baby's name or gender.
If the reports are to be believed, Priyanka and Nick have given a beautiful name with an Indian and English mixture. The name 'Malti' is a Sanskrit word that means small fragrant flower, moonlight. On the other hand, 'Marie' is a French term that means 'star of the sea'.

Meanwhile, in January, Nick and Priyanka had announced the arrival of their baby by sharing a note on their social media handle. The note read, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank You so much.”
On the work front, Priyanka will soon return to Mumbai to kickstart shooting for her upcoming film ‘Jee Le Zara’ along with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
