In July, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR at Patna Police Station, Bihar, accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetment of Sushant’s suicide. Apart from this, he also leveled serious allegations against Rhea in the FIR. Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey was looking into the investigation of Sushant’s death case after the FIR was filed. Now, as Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey steps down from his post by taking VRS, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde reacts to it.

After Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey resigned and his VRS was granted, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that this wasn’t justice for Sushant Singh Rajput, but rather, justice for Pandey. Satish Maneshinde released a statement that read, “The Request for VRS by DGP Bihar Gupteshwar Pandey and Granting VRS by Bihar Govt and Union Govt in 24 hrs is as fast as Bihar Govt Transfer of FIR against Rhea to CBI and acceptance of it by Union Govt. This is not justice for SSR but Justice for Gupteshwar Pandey."

For those who are unaware, the Bihar Government had sent its recommendation for a CBI probe into the FIR registered by Sushant’s father KK Singh and soon after, the CBI had accepted the Bihar government’s request for a probe in Sushant’s death case.


After Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Gupteshwar Pandey had hailed it as a big win for Bihar, according to Times of India. He had also earlier said in an interaction with the media that, “Bihar ke mukhyamantri pe comment karne ki aukaat Rhea Chakraborty ki nahi hai." Soon after this, he had clarified that his statement should be not taken in a negative light. It is also being reported that Gupteshwar Pandey will be contesting the state Assembly polls.
