SpotboyE was the first to tell you that Pooja Bhatt's upcoming film Cabaret may not hit theatres on its announced date -- May 27 (Uncertainty prevails over Pooja Bhatt's Cabaret, May 10). The film's producers --- Pooja Bhatt, T-Series and Waves Group --- had run into a disagreement of sorts.
While T-Series and Waves were slow on the marketing aspect of the film, Pooja wanted more investments to be made to bring the film into spotlight --- hoardings, events, et al.
Pooja had then told SpotboyE, “We are working towards May 27 for the release of Cabaret, but I am very clear that we shall not release it until we have given our best marketing push. All three of us -- T-Series, Waves Group and I --- need to exercise our clout fully; it would be unfair to my product to compete with films which have been made at 5 times its cost and have been backed by publicity campaigns 20 times bigger. Cabaret has been made very well. It deserves as much a chance out there as any of the so-called biggies. If we feel that we are failing to provide that, we shall delay the film”.
News is just in that the film has been pushed by a fortnight. The Kaustav Narayan Niyogi-directed drama will now release on June 10.
When contacted, Pooja said, “Yes, June 10 it is now. I need a minimum of 2 weeks to go hammer and tongs on publicity”.

Seems, now Pooja, T-Series and Waves Group are on the same page.
