The wait is over! Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have finally returned to Mumbai after almost a year of treatment in New York. While it was being speculated that the couple would return this week sometime, SpotboyE was the first to tell you that they would return today. It was last year in September that the couple had jetted off to New York and while at first they didn't reveal the reason for their extended stay in New York, it was only months later that fans found out he was suffering from cancer and is undergoing treatment there.
Now, the senior actor is back with his wife and the two were spotted at the Mumbai Airport as they returned from New York. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor were all smiles for the paparazzi and patiently waited as the shutterbugs clicked on. The two looked happy to be back in Mumbai after so long. Fans of the actor were very happy to see Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor return and flooded the comments with welcome back messages. Yesterday, Rishi Kappoor and Neetu Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Sahni Kapoor took to her Instagram story to share a picture and mentioned that Rishi Kapoor is coming back.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher who is a good friend of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor and also visited them several times in New York took to Twitter and wrote, “Dearest #NeetuKapoor and @chintskap !! Here is wishing you a safe trip back to India after being in New York for almost a year. I have mixed feelings. I am happy & sad at the same time. I am going to miss you terribly. We had a great time together. Thank you. Love & prayers.”
