Rishi Kapoor last shot for Excel Entertainment's Sharmaji Namkeen with Juhi Chawla. The shooting of this film began in Delhi in December 2019.
Speculation may start doing the rounds that Rishi Kapoor, who left for his heavenly abode this morning, has left a large part of the film incomplete.
But the fact is that Rishi Kapoor had shot for most major portions of his role and what remained was only those that were left for the last schedule.
Excel Entertainment spearheaded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Siddhwani
will take a call in the next few days how to bring his role in the film to a logical conclusion.
Sharmaji Namkeen is a very special film as it brings back Rishi and Juhi after 11 years. The duo was last seen together in Luck By Chance in 2009. Prior to Luck By Chance, Rishi and Juhi starred in many films- Bol Radha Bol, Saajan Ka Ghar, Daraar, Eena Meena Deega and Ghar Ki Izzat .
Rishi started shooting for Sharmajee Namkeen, directed by Hitesh Bhatia, after coming back to India after almost a year of treatment in the US. Juhi had excitedly shared pictures of Team Sharmaji Namkeen on Twitter, penning: "Wishing 'SHARMAJI NAMKEEN' all the very very best, as shooting starts to roll !! May it be one of the most charming films of 2020 ..!!"
May Rishi Kapoor's soul rest in peace! That the legend will be missed is an understatement.
