Bollywood lost yet another gem as Rishi Kapoor passed away this morning. The veteran actor had been diagnosed with cancer in 2018, and he had been undergoing treatment in New York. He returned to India after his treatment in September 2019. However, the actor had to be hospitalized last night. His wife Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Singh were by his side as he breathed his last, after a brave fight against cancer. Now, a video is going viral on the Internet and many have claimed this is a video from last night. However, the video is actually from back when he was hospitalized in February.

In the video, we can see Rishi Kapoor in the hospital bed, still smiling as a medical staff sings an old song which starred Rishi Kapoor. He sings the song ‘Tere dard se dil aabaad raha’, from the film Deewana. The song featured Rishi Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Divya Bharti.  Rishi Kapoor patiently listens to the song and then gives him his blessings. He shares a few words of wisdom at the end of the video and can be seen blessing the man, wishing him prosperity and success in his life. Rishi Kapoor asks him to work hard and tells him that fame comes only after hard work.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend Alia Bhatt was among the first ones to reach the hospital, followed by Rishi Kapoor’s niece Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Rishi Kapoor’s last rites will be performed at Chandanwadi Crematorium in Marine Lines, Mumbai.
