Sachin Pilgoankar Reacts To Savita Bajaj’s Financial Situation; Says Being An Actor Is An Unpredictable Job
Veteran actress Savita Bajaj had contracted COVID-19 a few days ago. Later, she was hospitalised due to her deteriorating health. The actress then revealed she is in dire need of financial help due to her hospitalisation. She also opened up about surviving on amounts paid by CINTAA and the writer’s association. Bajaj, who was receiving some amount from CINTAA, mentioned that they were not sufficient to pay medical bills. Now, actor Sachin Pilgaonkar has opined on Savita Bajaj’s financial situation.

Speaking with Indiatimes.com, when Sachin Pilgaonkar was asked if he was aware of Savita Bajaj’s situation, he said that he has read it in the newspapers. “I would want the associations come together to help the artistes and technicians, and they have been doing a lot of hard work to help them. I am surprised that why this is out in media and not being reached out to the association. As far as CINTAA (Cine And TV Artistes' Association) or IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association) is considered they help you and it is not necessary that you have to be a member of it, because in such a situation nobody asks you that and they definitely take care of you," he said.

After the actor was informed about Savita Bajaj having received help from CINTAA and the Writers’ association, he said, “Well there are two things I will say, first is they have not received is another thing, and they have not saved anything for the rainy days is a second thing.” The actor further added, “It is very easy to blame others. But when you point fingers on others through your fist there are 4 fingers pointing back at you.  This is not a blame game, I am not here to blame any artist, but the circumstances are so sad in life that most of the time it's the person to be blamed because he or she let it happen. That is also not right.”

He continued, “You must save, keep something for yourself, there is always a rainy day.  And when you are an actor you really don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow, it’s a very unpredictable career.”

Sachin Pilgaonkar then went on to talk about the importance of saving funds. The actor shared some examples from the working professionals in the industry and explained on the same. He shared examples of veteran actors like Bharat Bhushan and AK Hangal. Pilgaonkar also gave the young ones a piece of advice. He suggested that they save money and not spend it on expensive phones and all.
