A major fire
broke out at Cinevistaa Studios, Kanjurmarg, last night and now, SpotboyE.com
has learnt that technician Gopi Verma has died in the mishap.
His body was
found with 100% burns inside the studio this morning and his body was taken to
Rajawadi Hospital, Ghatkopar.
At the time of
the incident, Beyhadh actress Jennifer Winget's upcoming
show Beypanha in Kanjurmarg and Vatsal Sheth's ongoing Haasil, which air on
Colors and Sony respectively were being shot.
Harshad Chopra
and Sehban Azmi were on the set. Jennifer had a day-off today.
Vatsal, however, was around.
Nearly 150 people were present at the location when the mishap happened.
The blaze,
according to preliminary reports, started at a generator in the studio. It was
reported to be a level 3 fire, which calls for immediate evacuation and access
only to firefighters. Eight fire engines and six water tankers were rushed to
the studio.
