Saira Banu Health Update: Late Dilip Kumar’s Wife ‘Feeling Much Better’, Shifted Out Of ICU-Report
Saira Banu, who was rushed to Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital earlier this week, has reportedly been shifted out of ICU and is doing 'much better'.
Fans and well-wishers of veteran actress Saira Banu can now heave a sigh of relief as she is out of ICU and is doing much better. Late Dilip Kumar’s wife, who was hospitalised earlier this week after she complained of chest congestion, reportedly has been shifted out of ICU. According to the latest report in ETimes, Saira Banu has been shifted to a room and is currently on the road to recovery.
Cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale, who is attending Saira at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital, revealed, “She's gone to a room. She is much better, in fact, fine.”
Earlier, it was reported that Saira Banu has been diagnosed with depression and coronary syndrome. And, the doctors had advised an angiogram procedure to understand the cause of her heart condition. But she had refused an angiography. Dr. Gokhale, however, rubbished such reports and clarified that “Sairaji is not battling depression, plus she is not being difficult at all which in other words means she is not avoiding angiography. The angiography will be done at a later date after we control her diabetes. So where's the question of her saying 'no' to it?”
On August 24, Saira Banu was admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital following breathlessness, high blood pressure, and high sugar. As per the ANI report, the actress had been complaining of blood pressure when her health suddenly deteriorated.
The news agency had earlier tweeted, “Actor Saira Banu, wife of late veteran actor Dilip Kumar, was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai after she complained of issues related to blood pressure three days ago. She has been shifted to the ICU ward today.”
The 77-year-old actress has been struggling to come to terms with her husband Dilip Kumar’s demise. Dilip Kumar left for his heavenly abode on July 7, 2021. Since then, Saira has also not been keeping well.
