Salman Khan Acquitted In A Case Of Threat Filed Against Him By Bigg Boss 11 Contestant Zubair Khan
Salman Khan has been trending over the internet for his recent activeness on social media. But far away from his fun banter with his family, the actor was recently acquitted by the Vadgaon Maval court in the case registered against him by Bigg Boss 11 contestant Zubair Khan. The latter had filed a private complaint against the host of the show back in 2017.

Bigg Boss ex-contestant Zubair Khan had levied several allegations against the Bharat star claiming that the actor had threatened him during the telecast of the reality show. Zubair in October 2017 had said that Salman Khan had threatened him during the telecast of the show. The case was also registered against Endemolshine India and Mumbai Viacom 18 Media Private Ltd, which as per Zubair Khan, spoilt his image on national television.

As per a report in TimesNow, Zubair was in a contract with Viacom 18 for Bigg Boss and had provided requisite information to TV channels Colors, Endemolshine and Viacom 18 before entering the BB house. Furthermore, he went on to accuse the makers of using his data in order to falsify things and produce him as a goon for the sake of Television Rating Point i.e TRP. The producer further mentioned about the threats he began getting from the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim for negative publicity which the makers of the show promised would not happen. Zubair is the son-in-law of  Dawood Ibrahim's sister, Haseena Parker. Zubair further alleged that Salman in October 2017, threatened him during the telecast of the show which lead to the harming his image.

The 39-year-old producer further claimed that this situation made him a victim of depression and caused him to take a large quantity dose of the pills prescribed to him while he was inside the Bigg Boss house. He further added that this led to him being taken to the hospital and admitted at a medical facility by the makers and apparently are also involved to cover up their negligence. According to the producer, all this happened without a medico-legal case being registered by them in the first place and he later being dropped at his residence in a private car.

Zubair lodged a private complaint at the Vadgaon Maval court under IPC sections 342(punishment for wrongful confinement), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (2) (punishment for criminal intimidation). Later an ‘issue process’ order was passed by the court to which Salman in response registered a revision petition in the sessions court. Before the trial court, Salman was later absolved for personal appearance.

Advocate Nitish Chorbele and Sunita Bansal presented Salman in the sessions court. The advocate Chorbele was quoted saying, “In April 2019, Zubair Khan applied to withdraw the case filed in the Judicial Magistrate First Class Court in Vadgoan Maval, as he does not want to escalate the matter. The court found that the application had been made voluntarily and also noticed that the sessions court has granted stay in the matter. Thus, the court disposed the complaint filed by Zubair and acquitted Salman Khan for an offence punishable under sections 504 and 506 of IPC."
