Security concerns surrounding Salman Khan have recently undergone reassessment, urging the actor to heighten his vigilance. This precautionary measure follows the incident where gangster Lawrence Bishnoi fired gunshots outside Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal's residence in Canada, allegedly due to Grewal's perceived affiliation with Salman Khan. According to Pinkvilla, Mumbai police conducted a security review for Salman Khan on Tuesday, November 28. Salman, currently under Y plus security, was advised to remain vigilant following the reported threat. A senior officer mentioned to the entertainment portal that the security evaluation aimed to eliminate any vulnerabilities. The police also communicated with Salman, advising him to stay alert and deliberated on additional security measures. Earlier this month, the tranquillity near Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal's Vancouver residence was disrupted by the sound of gunshots in the White Rock area. Subsequently, Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for this unlawful incident, asserting that it was orchestrated to convey a message to Salman Khan.
Gippy Grewal addressed the situation in an interview with CNN News18, clarifying his limited association with Salman Khan. He emphasized meeting Salman only twice, once during the trailer launch of "Maujaan Hi Maujaan" this year, where the film's producer invited Salman, and previously on the sets of Bigg Boss.
Grewal further asserted he had no personal friendship with Salman Khan. Expressing shock and disbelief, he revealed feeling targeted unjustly, stating, "For me, it is still shocking and I am unable to process what has happened to me."
