Salman Khan cancelled the premiere of his upcoming movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan after Pamela Chopra suddenly passed away
It came as a shock to the Bollywood industry, when late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday morning. She succumbed to an age-related illness, 15-days after she was put on a ventilator in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. It was reported that her last rites were performed at 11 am and the entire industry was seen paying their last respects to her by visiting Aditya Chopra’s home and on social media. The entire industry came to a stand still.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been gearing up for the release of his family entertainer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan too cancelled the star-studded premiere of his movie. As reported by Times Now, the actor was supposed to host the premiere of his movie at Yash Raj Films Studios on Thursday evening and many well-known celebrities from the industry were expected to attend. Quoting a source from Bollywood Hungama, the media publication reported that because of Salman’s long association with the Chopra family, he decided not to go ahead with the premiere. The source said, “The screening was supposed to take place tonight, incidentally in YRF Studios, and many people from the industry were expected to attend. After learning about Pamela ji’s death, the superstar instinctively decided to not go ahead with the premiere. After all, he has had a long association with the Chopra family. The Farhad Samji directorial has been released on the big screens on Friday. Apart from Salman Khan, the movie sees an ensemble cast of Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Venkatesh, Bhumika Chawla, Jassie Gill and many more.
