Mammootty's Mother Fathima Ismail PASSES AWAY AT The Age Of 93; Shashi Tharoor And Celebrities Mourn Her Sad Demise
Popular Malayalam actor Mammootty's mother Fathima Ismail passed away this morning. She was 93. Fathima was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi due to an age-related ailment. Her funeral will take place today at 3 pm at her native in Chempu, Kottayam. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor confirmed the news of Fathima’s passing on social media and offered his condolences. Many politicians and celebrities mourned the sad demise of Fathima.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Shashi shared two pictures of Mammootty posing with his mother and wrote in the caption, “Spoke to @mammukka this morning to express my sincere condolences on the passing of his mother. As I have grown older I have become much closer to my own mother, & I am aware of the preciousness of this irreplaceable bond. May he find the peace of mind to cope w/his loss.” In one of the photos, Fathima was seen kissing Mammootty on the cheeks. Taking to the comments section, many fans condoled the tragic demise of Mammootty’s mother. One netizen said, “Dear Sir, Iam a great fan of Mamooty Sir, my deepest condolences on the passing away of his mother!, Always a mother is irreplaceable, an undeniable God for an Atheist too!.”

Fathima Ismail was the wife of the late Ismail of Semba Panabaram and is survived by her eldest son Mammootty and five other children. She was widely known for her lady-next-door image and was quite popular in her village Chembu.
