We recently had reported saying actor Salman Khan has revived his last year’s food donation drive. Well, this time, we saw the superstar participating in his philanthropic work that will truly inspire many. Salman was recently snapped in the city where he was seen distributing food packets to the frontline warriors and poor people amidst the second wave of COVID-19. The actor was seen wearing a chequered red shirt and black pants with a black face mask. He was even seen tasting the food that is being supplied to people.
Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal, who is coordinating the endeavour with the actor, was also seen along with the Bhaijaan. In a video shared on Instagram, Salman is seen tasting the food himself. The actor is filmed while he is monitoring the entire process. At this time, the video shows a chef serving Khan the food prepared. Before the food is served into the containers for distribution, the actor ensures everything is well. Salman Khan earns respect of his fans with his good deeds once again.
Earlier, he had shared that Salman Khan got into the action as soon as the state government imposed a junta curfew from April 15. “Salman expressed his concern for the police officers, BMC staff and health workers on duty. Given their long work hours, he wondered how they would procure essentials since most shops are shut and the grocery stores are functioning in the stipulated four-hour window. Within 24 hours of our conversation, our food trucks hit the road,” Kanal told Mid-Day.
Reportedly, the food trucks are distributing the food packets between Worli and Juhu. The packets include tea, mineral water, a pack of biscuits, and snacks that include upma, poha, vada pav or pav bhaji. His organisation has also started a helpline number on which the frontline workers can call and they will travel to the area to serve them. “It is Salman’s way of thanking them for their sustained efforts.
