Once again, Salman Khan will be launching another starkid. After Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty, his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, Nutan’s granddaughter Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal, another newbie is set to earn a launchpad from Khan. According to a latest report in Mumbai Mirror, the superstar is set to introduce renowned actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Ashwami in the world of films.

Confirming the news to the leading tabloid, the National Award-winning director said, “Yes, Salman is launching my daughter. It will happen in some time. We’ll cross the bridge when we get to it. We have always bonded well. Salman is the most rooted person I have come across, a complete middle-class man in his head. He knows that I am not in awe of him, and that makes our bond special.”

According to the report, Salman Khan and Mahesh Manjrekar who have worked together in several films, were set to reunite for the Hindi remake of Mahesh’s 2010 Marathi directorial, Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho, with him as the director, and Salman as producer. Mahesh revealed, “For the lead, Salman wanted Govinda, who had apprehensions about the role, so things didn’t work out.”

The film was said to be similar to Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium. He said, “Our remake was planned much before Hindi Medium released. We will make it in the future as this subject is close to my heart. I honestly think our education system sucks.”

While announcing Zaheer Iqbal’s launch, Salman had taken to social media and had shared a picture of himself with young Zaheer. He had captioned the picture as, “Being Launched Tomorrow ... KAL dekhte hai yeh ladka AAJ kaise dikhta hai ....” You may recall SpotboyE.com had brought you the picture of Iqbal before he was officially announced.
