Samir Soni Is Fed Up Of ‘Worldwide India Bashing’; SLAMS Those Taking Pleasure In It: ‘Shame On All You Misery P*rn Peddlers’
India is currently battling a devastating second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, and this has put a strain on the healthcare system of the country. Social media has been flooded with SOS calls from patients in need of hospital beds, oxygen supplies, and COVID drugs. Amid all this, a lot of international media outlets have criticized the way that the crisis is being handled. Samir Soni shared his views about the same and said that he is fed up of the worldwide ‘India bashing’.

Samir Soni took to his Instagram account to share a note in which he slammed those taking pleasure in negative reportage. He wrote that he loves his country, and will stand by it through thick and thin. “Fed-up of this worldwide India bashing and some Indians actually taking pleasure in it. I love my country and stand by it, through thick and thin. And shame on all you ‘myseryporn’ peddlers, you'll probably sell your own family for sake of ‘Headlines’ or ‘Breaking News’,” he wrote.

Samir Soni shared the note along with a caption that read, “Straight from my heart!!!” His post received a mixed reaction from social media users.

One social media user did not agree with Samir’s post, and commented, “There is a difference between jingoism and patriotism. Calling a spade a spade - is it being negative or holding a mirror?” Samir Soni replied to the user and wrote, “@asaphoenix25 it’s the intent that matters. Don’t have to show funeral pyres and dead bodies, to give the information. Maybe in a film but not in national or international news. Unfortunately news is also a business and graphic pictures are sold for thousands or lacs.” ALSO READ: Sonu Sood Expresses Disappointment On China Blocking Oxygen Consignments To India; Chinese Ambassador Assures Smooth Functioning
