Yash Raj Films has locked its exciting slate of films for 2021 and the company is signaling its strong intent to bring audiences back to experience films on the big screen. Due to the lockdown, owing to COVID-19, the Maharashtra Government had announced shutting down of theaters which eventually was lifted with time. Earlier, the Government announced the reopening of theaters with 50% of occupancy, which was later changed to 100% occupancy. Now to bring the audiences back to the theaters Bollywood’s one of the biggest production houses Yash Raj Films has announced the release date of 5 big YRF films.
YRF announced the release date of the top 5 films- Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Prithviraj. Starting with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, the Dibakar Banerjee directorial has been slated to release next month, 19 March 2021. Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2, which will introduce debutante Sharvari, is slated to release on 23 April 2021. The film is helmed by Varun V. Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt starrer, which is helmed by Karan Malhotra, will hit the theaters on 25 June 2021. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra’s YRF. Ranveer Singh, Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar is scheduled to release on 27 August 2021. The film is Directed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by YRF’s Maneesh Sharma.
Last but not the least, Akshay Kumar magnum-opus Prithviraj has been slated for Diwali release i.e., on 5 November 2021. Akshay Kumar will also introduce debutant Manushi Chhillar and it also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. Helmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj is produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.
