Sanjay Dutt is making a foray in regional cinema with his first home production Baba slated for release on August 2. The star took to his Instagram to post a motion picture of his upcoming movie. The actor has dedicated his first Marathi film to the person who remained steadfast in his life through everything - his late father, Sunil Dutt.

The film’s motion poster starts with the bright light of the morning sun, from the fields in a village, where we see a father and son on a bicycle. The poster of the film clearly explains how the movie is based on the relationship between the father and son. Sanjay Dutt took to his Instagram to share the motion poster of the film, with the caption, "Dedicating our first Marathi Film ‘BABA’ to the person who remained steadfast in my life through everything! Love you Dad.#BabaOn2Aug – produced under the banner of @sanjayduttproductions & @bluemustangcreations."

The film features Deepak Dobriyal in the lead role along with Nandita Dhuri, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Spruha Joshi and Chittaranjan Giri. The film is produced under the banner of Sanjay Dutt Productions and Blue Mustang Productions. Baba will be directed by Raj R Gupta and is set to release on Aug 2.

On the occasion of Father’s Day, recently Sanjay Dutt shared pictures with children celebrating the day and also recalled memories with late father and expressed how blessed he feels to have kids.
