Sara Ali Khan, the talented Bollywood actress, had a jam-packed March with the release of two highly anticipated OTT films, Murder Mubarak and Ae Watan Mere Watan. These projects marked a significant departure for Sara as she delved into new genres and characters. In Murder Mubarak, she showcased her versatility by starring in her first suspense thriller, while in Ae Watan Mere Watan, she portrayed the role of the revered freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Beyond her successful acting career, Sara has also expressed her political ambitions. During a candid conversation with standup comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India, Sara confirmed her interest in joining politics. This revelation aligns with her academic background, as she holds a degree in history and political science from Columbia University. In a previous interview, Sara had hinted at her political aspirations, emphasizing that it is not merely a backup plan but a genuine passion she intends to pursue in the future. Speaking about the same she said, "I have a degree in history and political science, so I want to pursue politics maybe later in life, but it's not a backup plan. I am not leaving, and if people will give me the opportunity to be here (Bollywood), I will be here for as long I can." 




Sara's portrayal of Usha Mehta in Ae Watan Mere Watan garnered praise from Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. He commended Sara for bringing the historical figure to life on screen and expressed gratitude for her portrayal. This recognition further solidified Sara's reputation as a versatile and talented actress capable of embodying complex and impactful roles.

Looking ahead, Sara's fans can anticipate her upcoming project with Anurag Basu, titled Metro... In Dino. This highly anticipated film, a sequel to the beloved 2007 movie Life in a...
