Sara Ali Khan Revealed How Mommy Amrita Singh Gave A Reality Check On Her Weight, Young Diva Recalls, ‘Jab Main Bahut Healthy Thi, Unhone Mujhe Kaha Ke ‘Behen Tun Tun Ka Zamana Gaya’
Sara Ali Khan is a few of the stars from Bollywood, who was never shy of sharing that she was overweight before she became an actress. The Kedarnath actress in interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, shared how her mother- actress Amrita Singh gave her two life-changing reality checks. As the young actress was overweight and revealed that she wants to be an actress, her mother asked her to lose weight. Further stating the era to be like Tun Tun, who was overweight is over.

She said, “Jab main bahut healthy thi, unhone mujhe kaha ke ‘behen Tun Tun ka zamana gaya. Toh agar aapko actor banna hai toh you know. With no body shame involved, she did tell me that I have to be healthier in the other way, the real way. I have to slim down for my own sake also. It was not just the vanity thing, it was also the health thing. That was the time she showed me the mirror.”

The second reality check was given to Sara when her movie, Love Aaj Kal failed at the box office. When the movie failed, the senior actress told her films are made for the audience so they don’t like it, she(Sara) is wrong. “I think that even when Love Aaj Kal didn't work, she showed me the mirror and said, ‘Look, I am your mother, your team is your team but you make films for the audiences. Agar janta ko aapka kaam acha nahi lag raha toh aap galat jaa rahi hai,” added Sara.
