Sayani Gupta is known for being fearless and unconventional when it comes to cinema. She took on a challenging role with her debut in the industry as a blind Pakistani gay activist, Khanum in Margarita with a Straw where she starred opposite Kalki Koechlin. Sayani’s performance in the film was praised a lot and recently the actress was also seen in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15.
Sometime back Sayani shared a post on Instagram where she can be seen rocking a clean bald look and the caption she wrote, made people believe that she indeed got rid of all her hair. She wrote, “Fired my hairstylist” and her post was instantly flooded with a lot of comments by people appreciating her look. Her post surely puzzled a lot of people! However, in another post, Sayani later revealed that it was just a transition to put the actual hairpiece on. She wrote, “Sorry guys. Thank you for the sweet encouraging words. I might actually do it someday when I have to play a bald part. But this one is just a transition to put the actual hairpiece on. This is a superb prosthetics work done by Prashant & Praveen! Prepping the head for a crazy part. Probably the craziest part I have played so far! Also, doing a team meeting. I generally am very restrained. #newwork #newlook”
Sayani Gupta has delivered some impeccable performances in films and her recent role in Article 15 also received a lot of praise. At the screening of Article 15, the actress met Shah Rukh Khan and had a fan moment. The actress always wanted a picture with him even though they had worked together in the film Fan.'
