Sexy Radhika Apte returns to Marathi cinema

Following the success of Sairat, the Marathi film industry has been attracting players from all over. The newest entrant on the scene is director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari who launched her own production house recently, called Earth Sky Pictures with Sanjay Shetty.

And for their first Marathi production, the Nil Battey Sannatta director has signed actress Radhika Apte.

When contacted, Radhika said, “I’ve done Marathi films before. Lai Bhaari was a massive hit. The industry is booming now. So, yes, you can say that I am returning to Marathi films. We’ll start shooting within the year but I can’t speak more than that on the project right now."
The director for the film is yet to be finalised. The film, apparently, is a woman-centric drama with Radhika playing the central character.
