Shaan’s Concert In West Bengal’s Hooghly Sparks Stampede-Like Situation; 4 Injured, 2 Still Under Treatment-REPORTS
In a rather shocking turn of events, four people were injured in a stampede-like situation as people rushed to watch Bollywood singer Shaan’s perform at a college fest in Kolkata on Thursday. The injured were rushed to the hospital and two persons are still undergoing treatment. 

The chilling incident occurred at Uttarpara Government School where the fest of Raja Pyari Mohan College was held on Thursday. 

“When the singer came we had to open the gates and many forced themselves in, creating a stampede-like situation,” police said as reported by India.com. Police officials even lathi-charge to control the crowd, however, that did not seem to have any impact. 

Issuing a statement on Friday, the police said, “Four persons were injured in a stampede-like situation during a college fest in Hooghly as the police wielded the stick to control unruly spectators who had flocked to watch Bollywood singer Shaan.”

The police official also added that the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital and two are still under treatment. Meanwhile, no arrests have been made so far, in connection with the incident. 

Shaan is one of the leading playback singers in Bollywood. He has lent his voice to several chart-topping songs over the years in his career. He also hosted shows like Sa Ge Ga Ma Pa, Star Voice Of India, Music Ka Maha Muqabla and more. He enjoys a massive fan following. Shaan, has been a part of the industry for over two decades.
