Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan once shared a close bond with Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Their off-screen camaraderie as well as secret outings gave rise to their dating speculations as many assumed they were seeing each other. It was then reported that SRK and Priyanka came close during the shooting of their film Don 2 and were spotted hanging out in nightclubs, parties, and events. In an interview, Shah Rukh addressed reports of his alleged affair with PeeCee and said she has been and will always be close to his heart.
In an old interview with Katrina Kaif, the Raees actor stated that it was very disturbing for him as the lady who has worked with him got questioned and was not shown the respect he shows her. Shah Rukh was quoted as saying, “To me, what is most disturbing is the fact that a lady who's worked with me has been questioned, and somewhere down the line, she's not being shown the kind of respect I show her or all the women. I think it’s a little disrespectful.” While apologizing to his fans, he added, “I'm extremely sorry about that. Sorry means... it’s not directly because of anything I’ve done but because she’s my friend. In the same interview, the Pathaan actor also spoke about seeing Priyanka in a beauty pageant for the first time and sang praises for the actress. Shah Rukh mentioned that he has seen ‘little girl’ Priyanka starting her career with the beauty pageants and they both have some of the nicest moments on screen as friends. But it is, It's extremely unfortunate and sad for him to think that a “friendship gets a little soiled.”
As per the media reports, SRK’s wife Gauri Khan was very upset with the actor over his close proximity with Priyanka. She even put a ban on Shah Rukh against working with Priyanka Chopra. Shah Rukh and Priyanka had worked together only in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Don 2 post they never featured together on the silver screen.
