Shah Rukh Khan Or Sonu Sood To Play The Ambulance Man Karimul Haque In His Biopic? Reports

Over a period of time, Bollywood has seen many biopics on the celluloid. Well, similarly, a biopic on the bike ambulance man, Karimul Haque is in the making and if the latest reports are anything to go by, actors Shah Rukh Khan and Sonu Sood are being considered for the role. According to a report published in Uttarbanga Sambad, his incredible story and selfless deeds have inspired filmmaker Vinay Mudgal to present his story on the big screen. Reportedly, Karimul Haque was in Mumbai to sign a contract where he sort of confirmed that a biopic based on his life is indeed in the making.
“It is a matter of great honour for me that a film is being made based on my life. If this film manages to inspire people, nothing can be better than that,” the portal quoted Karimul. He also revealed that he has met Sonu Sood personally and the actor was keen on playing the role of ‘Bike Ambulance Dada’ onscreen. "I have met Sonu Sood personally. He is a very good person. He told me that he wants to play my character onscreen. But he is almost a foot taller than me." He also mentioned that the makers are sceptical about Sonu Sood due to their stark difference in their physical appearance.
Apart from Sonu Sood, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is also being considered for the role. The film will be directed by Vinay Mudgal and will tentatively go on floors in January next year. However, a final confirmation from the makers as well as SRK and Sonu Sood is yet to be made. For now, let's only hope for the best.
For those who are unaware, Karimul Haque who hails from a remote village of Kolkata decided to start this ambulance bike, to help people who are in need of medical attention. This decision came after he lost his mother due to lack of medical emergency and thus, the initiative. He was even honoured with a Padma Shri Award for his incredible service of helping hundreds of people with on-time ambulance service.
