Just a few days back, we told you how Ranbir Kapoor had suggested the title for the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma film, Jab Harry Met Sejal. Now we've come to know of another connection that Ranbir has with Imtiaz’s tourist love drama.
During Imtiaz's birthday celebrations last night, the director revealed in jest that it was not easy signing the King of Bollywood for his film. He had to keep meeting SRK time and again with changes in the script before he finally said yes to the film.
However, Shah Rukh had a complete different story to tell. SRK quickly retorted by saying Imtiaz came to him with the story of Jab Harry Met Sejal only because Ranbir was busy with Jagga Jasoos.

Well, we don’t know if that’s true or one of SRK’s witty comments but Ranbir definitely is Imtiaz's favourite actor. He is the only one who has worked with Imtiaz twice- Rockstar (2011) & Tamasha (2015).
Coming back to Jab Harry Met Sejal, the film has been riding high on social media ever since the name was announced. It is one of the very rare films which didn't have a name associated to it till the time it was fully made. Names like The Ring, Rehenuma and Raula kept doing rounds, but none were finalised.
The trailer of the film is attached with Salman Khan's Tubelight - a movie where SRK plays an extended cameo. The trailer hits YouTube on June 23 while the film hits theatres on August 4.
