Thank you for all the concern. Yes I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Make it count. Spread the love. Humanity above all.— Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) January 12, 2020
After the massive success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor had started shooting for his next titled ‘Jersey’, which is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name and revolves around cricket. Shahid Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of a cricketer in his mid-thirties, while Mrunal Thakur will play the leading lady in the film. While shooting for the film in Chandigarh, the actor was injured as a ball hit his lower lip, cutting it wide open. His wife, Mira Rajput immediately rushed to be by his side, and the actor had to reportedly get 13 stitches.
Now, after the accident, Shahid Kapoor has returned back to Mumbai with his wife Mira Rajput, and was spotted at the airport covering his face, apparently trying to hide the said injury in a very innovative way. He had a bizarre mask in place to hide half of his face, with only his eyes visible. The actor was dressed casually in a hoodie, with a jacket over it, teamed with cargo pants. The actor had his hands in his pocket, while Mira Rajput walked next to him at the Mumbai airport. He had to be rushed to the doctor soon where he received some stitches. Another source revealed to Pinkvilla that the injury was so deep he had to get 13 stitches.
Shahid Kapoor also took to his Twitter handle, reassuring his fans that he is recovering quickly. He tweeted, "Thank you for all the concern.
