Quite a few Bollywood celebrities have tested positive for Coronavirus in recent past. Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and many more are in isolation as they contracted the virus. Yesterday, the name of Katrina Kaif got added to the list of celebrities who are in isolation. Today, another actress has tested positive for Coronavirus. Nikita Dutta, who essayed the role of actress Jia in Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Talking to Etimes, she confirmed the same and stated, "It’s all very unfortunate and frustrating, but acting teaches you to be patient. We have been trying to shoot the film since 2019, but we had to halt the schedule due to the pandemic. We resumed the shoot in December last year, but Bosco was detected with COVID; later, Aditya tested positive, and now, it’s me. I have been asked to quarantine at home for 10 days and take a test again."

Nikita Dutta went on to add that on sets it is very difficult to maintain social distance as a few scenes require the actor to be in close proximity. She mentioned taking utmost precaution yet contracted the virus. Nikita Dutta also revealed that her mother is in ICU and she was going to rush to Delhi to meet her. However, now she cannot.


"My mother had to be rushed to the ICU due to some complications. Luckily, it wasn’t because of COVID. I was about to fly her down to Delhi to see her, but I couldn’t as I tested positive for COVID-19. Let’s hope the vaccine reaches everyone soon," she said.
