Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has entertained his fans by delivering some stellar performances. Well, the actor is not done here. After an illustrious acting career, Shahid is now gearing up to don the producer’s hat. Yes! You read that right. After Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and others B-town actors; Shahid Kapoor is also set to enter into production with his next venture. According to a report, Shahid will mark his debut as a producer with Netflix’s War trilogy based on Amish Tripathi’s book.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, a source revealed that the actor has been paid over Rs 70-80 Crore for a trilogy that he’s going to feature in. The source in the report said Shahid will also mark his debut into production with this movie. The insider said, “Shahid has been paid to the tune of over Rs. 70-80 crore for a trilogy that he's going to star in. It's a period mythological war saga that will be adapted from Amish Tripathi's novel. Not just that, this will also mark Shahid's foray into production."
According to the source in the report, Shahid Kapoor has been planning to start his own production company since quite some time now. The source said, “Shahid was almost kick-starting his own banner with the Dingko Singh biopic but it fell apart. Now, Netflix and he have signed a mutual agreement on this project. It will most likely feature him and is going to be an ambitious period venture designed on the lines of a Baahubali but only for the web.” The source mentioned that this upcoming venture will be another mythological project for the actor after he was roped in for the role of Karna.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the film Kabir Singh. He has film Jersey and Raj and DK’s next web series in the pipeline. The actor reportedly has Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial Karna too.
